Together for the Planet
Unilever, the Swedish Embassy and the Recon Foundation meet annually to call for the Together for the Planet contest, which brings together the most innovative environmental ventures in Colombia. Galaxy Pack applied at the end of 2020 in the «Plastic Free» category with its innovative proposal for Reusable Pallet Covers to replace the use of stretch plastic.
Great call
448 ventures were presented from all over the country with very innovative proposals in the 3 available categories, of which only 30 semi-finalists would emerge that would be submitted to public voting, in order to obtain the 10 finalists that would compete for the final prize.
We are winners!
In the July 2021 final, Galaxy Pack was recognized as the big winner in its category, as the best proposal in the «Plastic-Free» category, being awarded a prize equivalent to $USD 10,000 and all the recognition granted by a company of the level from Unilever, the Swedish Embassy and the Recon Foundation. Our company was the winner for having an innovative value proposition for the Industry that combines a high environmental impact with a proposal for high reduction in packaging operating costs for companies.
